Daventry Road Runners, a UKA affiliated running club, are proud to host this 10k event centred in the market town of Daventry in Northamptonshire. The route offers a challenging course in and around the town, that will appeal to both the personal best chaser and fun runner alike. The undulating course is run predominately on pavements and quiet roads with a challenging hill early on. The race is also part of the Northants Road Running League, and for 2022 will be the Northamptonshire County Championship 10km Race.
The 2022 edition of the race will be the final race in the Northants Road Running League.
This years edition of the Daventry 10k will also be the 2022 Northamptonshire County Championship race. Please indicate when signing up if you wish to be entered into the county championships and that you meet the criteria.
At this years race, LMC Physio & Fitness will be providing free post race sports massages. After you've crossed the finish line and collected your medal and goodie bag, you'll find them in the event village.
We’re partnering with Trees Not Tees to offer you the option of planting a tree instead of receiving our event t-shirt. Planting a tree is one of the best things you can do to fight climate change, as they remove carbon dioxide from the air as they grow. They also provide a habitat for a wide range of the UK’s most endangered and loved species, and create clean air for us to breathe. Your tree will be planted in Scotland to grow as part of a whole new forest full of native broadleaf tree species. You’ll receive a certificate from Trees Not Tees that includes a picture of your tree, details of the species, and a unique geo-location address so you can even go and visit.
Below you'll find a map of the course, which if you're run this event before, you'll recognise as the same route as 2019.
